Without a Lens is a personal exploration of heartbreak, healing, and reclaiming a place once filled with painful memories. Using homemade pinhole cameras, I walked the streets of Umeå—where I once sought relief from overwhelming emotions after a devastating breakup. Years later, with a healed heart and a new perspective, I returned to capture the city in a new light. By mapping a heart shape onto Umeå's central square and photographing key locations, I transformed these streets into symbols of growth and beauty, blending photography with embroidery to complete the work.
