There is an ocean that remains unseen is an ongoing project that explores the beauty of water while sharing a personal journey of longing. Awakened by childhood memories of crossing the Gulf of Bothnia, I reflect on the emotional connection between water, separation, and unity. Using a camera obscura from a ferry cabin and photograms of seawater, I capture the unseen rhythm of the sea. Developed with seaweed, these works invite water to become a co-creator. This project is an invitation to explore the ocean within us and evoke personal memories of water’s beauty and movement.
